Chairman

Chairman is overall permanent head of this Institute.

Director

Director is responsible for day-to-day activities of the Institute. He supervises all the administrative affairs and activities of staff. He is a permanent employee of the Institute and is appointed by the Board of Trustees. The Director is directly answerable to the Chairman.

Board of Trustees

Members of the Board of Trustees are the permanent members of this board which is responsible for setting the goals and overall policies of the Institute. The Board of Trustees meets once a five year to evaluate the activities and achievements of the Institute. It also gives further assignments and makes necessary changes to the already existing structure of the Institute. Chairman of the Institute heads this Board of five members. The Director is selected by this highest board of the Institute.

Advisory Board

This advisory board is composed of individual scholars and academicians from fields relevant to the objective of the Institute especially from Social Sciences which advise the Director in carrying out the assignments and policies being set by the Board of Trustees for the Institute. This board is composed of ten members who are selected by the Board of Trustees for a term of five years. Meeting of the Advisory Board is held once a year.

Research Officers

Research Officers are individual researchers who have a taste of working on issues relevant to Muslim Minorities. There are two types of research officers affiliated with the IRSMM. Two researchers work at IRSMM as permanent researchers, one as Senior Research Officer and the second as Junior Research Officer, while services of up to three more researchers are hired when required to carry out different research assignments. The time period of these research assignments may vary from one to two years. Interested researchers may apply with their own research proposals. IRSMM also allows independent fresh university graduates to work on different assignments as internees for a period of six months. Three internships are offered to such students at a time. IRSMM offers its internship program twice a year.

Members

Membership of IRSMM is open to limited number of individuals. Any such individual with at least Bachelor degree who is interested in the activities of IRSMM can become a member of the institute by filling a written form and paying a one time-sum of 500 USD or equivalent. The members are entitled to receive one copy of all IRSMM publications free of cost and 50 % discount on other purchases, invitation to participate in all talks, seminars and other activities of the Institute.
