Kampala — Last week the Islamic Cultural Association convened what they called a "Sharia Court" and convicted Mufti Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje. Mubajje was accused by over 500 Sheiks for fraudulently disposing of Muslim property under his custody.
The court prohibited the Mufti from going to any mosque anywhere in the world and also "condemned him to hell" for reportedly committing haram (sins) against the Muslim community. The court based its ruling on the Koran and the Hadith (sayings of Prophet Mohamed).
Kampala — THE Mufti, Sheikh Ramathan Mubajje, has called for the sacking of the district kadhis and imams who side with the rebel Muslim faction.
"Any district Kadhi and Imam who have joined the rebel group should be expelled, do not allow them to hold those offices," he said.
Mubajje was speaking during the wedding of Ishmael Kateregga and Hadijja Nanono at Rubanda village Kissekka sub-county, Masaka district on Sunday.
Kampala — SHEIKS who were over the weekend dismissed from the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) chaired by Mufti Shaban Mubajje, have scoffed at the decision.

"As a Muslim community, we have put the Government under the spotlight. Some of the people spearheading these rival factions are prominent people serving in Government yet no action has been taken to probe them. The election of Kayongo, 75, is a culmination of a legal and religious stand off stemming from accusations against Mubajje of fraudulent sale of Muslim properties.

The district khadi, Sheik Suleiman Kasule Ndirangwa and eight other twale (division) leaders yesterday told journalists in Ndeeba that they could not go on working with Mubajje, who had sold off Muslim property and whom court had declared a liar.
Kampala — SIX Muslim district khadis from Buganda and another from western Uganda yesterday pledged loyalty to the Mufti, Sheik Shaban Ramathan Mubajje.
The Muslims leader also denounced the breakaway group headed by Sheik Zubair Kayongo.
